In search of unmatched efficiency, performance and spectral integrity we developed and engineered our own e-ballast and lamp as a pair. When ballast and lamp manufacturers develop their wares separately, they are forced to engineer generic products for a wide market (lamps to work on the largest range of ballasts vs. ballasts which are able to fire the widest variety of lamps). Compromises are invariably necessary.

Adjust-A-Wings are designed to allow growers to mimic the subtle changes in light quality which occur outdoors over the growing season. By widening or narrowing the width of the Adjust-A-Wings, growers can adjust the spread and radiant intensity of the light.

The unique, double-parabolic Large Adjust-A-Wings Defender reflector supplied with the Hellion 1000W Close Proximity DE-HPS kit has five width settings and five lamp height settings. Narrower settings are used for vegetative growth and transition. Wide settings are for transition to generative production (flowering). Medium setting for maturation.

The HELLION UHF electronic ballast has five power settings (600W/ 750W / 830W / 1000W / 1100W) to drive the perfectly matched HELLION DE-HPS lamp at five key intensity bands.

The Super Spreader

The Super Spreader fits directly beneath the lamp and spreads radiant emissions so they are more evenly distributed across the footprint. This ingenious device really comes into its own with 1000W DE-HPS lamps. It affords a much closer placement to your plant canopy than is possible with other grow lights so growers are able to deliver unmatched levels of incident intensity to their plants without causing heat stress to the plants directly beneath the lamp.
